Bowen Basin Women in Leadership program now accepting applications

RDA Greater Whitsundays is happy to announce that we are once again partnering with the Local Buying Foundation to run another round of the Women in Leadership program in the Bowen Basin.

Women face unique challenges in the workplace, as well as in gaining and growing into leadership roles. Our Women in Leadership program combines face-to-face learning, personalised mentoring and industry networking to facilitate the following opportunities:

  • Identify and leverage your individual strengths

  • Build self-awareness and confidence in skills and capabilities

  • Develop a network of other local leaders

What is involved in the program?

The Bowen Basin Women in Leadership program will take place over twelve months, at a subsidised cost of $350 + GST per participant. The program will involve:

  • 5x 1-day micro-credential workshops – delivered by a leadership development organisation, focusing on identifying your leadership traits, style, strengths and abilities.

  • 2 masterclasses – with local facilitators, aimed at building confidence and self-belief, including support from your mentor.

  • 12 month mentoring support – full access to local business and community leaders for the entirety of the program.

  • Two networking events – for program participants and mentors to build relationships and share learnings.

  • End of program celebration event – to cap off the program, a final event will be held to further encourage industry connections within the region and celebrate the program’s completion.
